BreedMate offers the slickest pedigrees round but it's got a lot more.
Personally I just like the spreadsheet style input because it lets me see
all my cats. Other programs just show me one cat at a time - but that's
good for some things too - so that's why BreedMate also has forms that let
you  enter data on one cat at a time.
It's also got neat reports like the CFA show entry form at right - and
now with V4.5 you can also do TICA and CFF show entries. You
can even include your signature on the form so its ready to fax directly -
just print to your fax program.
Pedigrees - well they tend to be pretty personal things. Some folks
like one style of pedigrees... BM has heaps of different styles. The
one below shows one example of a Cattery Logo that users can design (using any
regular graphic design package) and then include on pedigrees.
BreedMate is also great at sharing data. Some programs say they do -
but read the fine print - they only share reports!! With BM you directly
copy and paste data to or from Excel, Word and Access (as well all
those other word processors, spreadsheets and databases).
You can also share your data (all or any part you want) with friends.
And when you merge their data you can be sure your data won't be
overwritten - only new stuff gets added. BreedMate will even show you
what bits were added.
 If you just
want to share some pedigrees that's easy too. The emailable pedigrees
(like the one shown at left) are just a click away and because they're text
they can be pasted into any email program (remember if your using HTML
email to set a fixed width font like Courier).
Like everything in BreedMate it was designed to be designable by the
user so you can add different fields to your text pedigree.
